ALL METAL & ALUMINUM CANS: empty food and drink cans, empty aerosol cans, foils and trays. You can put all items in your container together - no separation is required. Materials Preparation You can put all accepted items in your container together - you do not have to separate any materials except glass. Please rinse cans before putting them in your container, as some materials may sit in your container for a week. To maximize the use of your container, you will want to break down all cardboard boxes and set them beside your container, but you do not have to remove any staples from paper or plastic windows from envelopes. Your recycle container must be lined with a black plastic bag. Glass bottles and jars are to be bagged separately and put into your recycle container. If put in loose it will contaminate all recyclables. No ceramics, crystal, plates or other glass types We will also recycle your food waste, soiled paper and pizza boxes. These items need to be in blue bags and put into your recycle container. These items need to bagged separately because if loose it will contaminate all recyclables. If you can not locate these blue bags they are available for purchase from PDQ. |
