Frequently Asked Questions

How much trash will you collect per pickup?
120 gallons (up to four 30-gallon trash cans) per stop. If PDQ provided you with a cart (i.e. curbside customers on  private routes), you are allowed one 30-gallon can in addition to the PDQ cart.

What is your billing cycle?
PDQ bills customers quarterly to decrease your paperwork and postage costs.  Payments are due upon receipt of statements.  Call or e-mail us for our competitive rates.

What forms of payment do you accept?
PDQ accepts personal checks and MasterCard or Visa.  We accept cash payments only if paid in person at our office.  Please do not mail cash payments, as we cannot be responsible for cash sent via post.

What time do I need to have my trash out?  When will my trash be picked up?
Trash pickup times are not guaranteed for specific times during the day, since an infinite number of items -- from trash volumes to traffic -- can affect the time our trucks will arrive at your location.

Trash must be out before 7:00 a.m. on the designated pickup day.
If the trash is not out when our driver arrives, it will be picked up on the next scheduled pickup day for your street.
Will you pick up yard waste?
PDQ will pickup grass clippings and leaves if such materials if bagged separately from other trash and the bags are placed at the curb on your normal pickup day.  Please do not place yard waste in carts or cans.  Our drivers cannot pick up dirt or branches in the back yard.
Are there items that PDQ cannot pick up at the curb?
- Construction Debris
- Rock, Dirt, Concrete and Asphalt
- Hazardous Materials
- Containers of Liquids
- Paint Cans (Lids must be removed and contents must be completely dry)
- Appliances
- Used Motor Oil, Antifreeze
- Tires
- Automotive or Marine Batteries

I just moved.  Will you dispose of my boxes and packing materials?
Yes, provided the following conditions are met:

- Boxes must be broken-down flat and placed at the curb.
- Secure multiple boxes together with twine or string OR weight them down to prevent them blowing away and littering your street.
- Any lightweight packing materials (i.e. styrofoam peanuts, bubble wrap, shredded paper, etc.) must be bagged to prevent litter.
